Welcome to Prettygoods

Updated: Aug 26

I am so thrilled to have you here.

Hopefully by now you've had time to browse around the new site, and read our origin story. It's a passion project, and one that is constantly evolving; with changing inspirations, and a collective of things that make me go "Ooooh." With any luck, they do for you as well. If so, I invite you to be a part of a tribe with me.

In the spirit of embracing change, listening to your gut, observing signs, and quite simply as an excuse to be cheeky, I thought a blog was in order for all of us. So here it is.

More specifically

You'll notice that in a lot of the verbiage on the site's pages I often say "We." Let me tell you who "We" is. "We," at Prettygoods, constitutes: myself—Rachel, Prettygoods founder—my dog Penny, my cat Olive, the mystical force that is my husband's unwavering support, any number of my inspirations (read: delusions) that day, subject to include:

  • cousins who make me laugh on group texts

  • the pinkish hue of a rose outside

  • a joke I heard from a co-worker

  • a story I remember Dad telling me once

  • the sound of a guitar

  • Game of Thrones theories

  • books on Charleston, New Orleans, and Rome

  • fishing

  • rabbit holes

  • amethysts

  • Texas

Oh, and this little guy right here...he's also with us:

Mi casa, su casa

This is a safe space, so feel free to drop a comment on the blog anytime. I hope you guys can feel as open to sharing some of your stories and inspirations for why you do what you do, as I have with you. It feeds me. It feeds us all.

In the coming weeks I hope to add more content to the site, more treasures for purchase, and more general goodness to be had.

Stay tuned into the blog as well, as I plan to post a poll on here with some t-shirt designs I'm toying with, so that I can take your pulse on what is considered neat-o. More to come.

Until then

Keep in touch by signing up to the site, subscribing to the blog, following us on Instagram, or sending a raven. Let me know how I can be of service to you.

Xoxo,

Rachel
